SAINT CLARE'S MONASTERY
720 Henry Clay Ave., New Orleans, LA
The Poor Clare Nuns have played an important role in the history of churches and religion in the New Orleans area. The convent, located in uptown New Orleans, is one of the last remaining vestiges of true convent life in Louisiana. Click here to see a complete history of the Poor Clares, and to visit the sisters' own home site.
