OUR LADY OF GOOD COUNSEL CATHOLIC CHURCH
1307 Louisiana Avenue, New Orleans, LA

Our Lady Of Good Counsel Church has a three-manual Wicks organ which was installed as a temporary instrument. The original 1921 organ in this church was a large Tellers and Kent Opus 216. At the time these photographs were taken, the old organ was still stored in the choir loft, however, it had been mostly disassembled and was no longer operable. It is believed that the three Wicks ranks were transplanted from the Wicks organ originally located at Holy Name Of Jesus Church on St. Charles Avenue. .

NOTE: Our Lady Of Good Counsel Church was closed following Hurricane Katrina. It was recently announced that the church will be reopened and merged with the Center Of Jesus The Lord which had been operating in the old Carmelite Convent on North Rampart Street.
